Enlightened Visions: Shifting Perspectives and Contemporary Cubism
A selection of contemporary cubist style pictures using mixed media, photography and digital art based upon the style of 20th century cubists under the theme of 'memories'. The pictures are characterized by their fragmented and geometric forms that are often layered to create a sense of depth, movement and the representation of 3D objects in space and time on a flat 2D medium. The fragmented forms are symbolic of the way in which memories are reconstructed from small fragments of interesting elements and shapes.

Welcome to my "Pictures of the Month" showcase, where I display some of my favourite art and photos.
I have always had an interest in flowers and the (sometimes) strange shapes of natural objects that are around us everyday that are easy to miss.
This month, I invite you to view share my view through the close-up lens of some natural objects I have been examining in gathering material for a new cubist art piece called 'Spring Harmony'. Spring Harmony will be an assemblage work to match my earlier winter and autumn picture, to make three. I hope to make this a full set of the 4 seasons by the end of the year.
